Agro Logistics and Agro Financing Seminars at Hortiflora Ethiopia 2013

15 March 2013 - 25 March 2013

During the international exhibition HortiFlora Ethiopia, the Agricultural Office of the Embassy of The Netherlands will host a seminar program on agro-financing and agro-logistics. Green Farming is supporting the organization of the program.
Dealing with the challenges in agro-logistics and agro-financing in a timely and professional manner is essential for the further development of the Ethiopian horticultural sector and to keep pace with, or stay ahead of competing countries.

For the period of 2010-2015 the Ethiopian government envisages a strong economic growth supported for a large part by opportunities in the commercial agricultural sector. A continued increase in productive investments in the sector is required to make this happen. Both domestic funding and foreign direct investments need to be mobilized in favour of the agricultural sector. Besides that, continued and up-scaled investments in the cool chains will reduce the losses and improve the quality of agricultural produce, both for domestic markets as well as for the international customers.
This seminar program is aimed to bring together parties active in the Ethiopian horticultural sector, to share the current status and observed trends and to discuss the future developments and the bottlenecks to be dealt with. Seminars are schedules Wednesday 15.30 hrs, Thursday 11.00 hrs and 15.30 hrs and Friday 11.00 hrs.

Green Farming can be found at HortiFlora Ethiopia at Stand Number 5.13.
